We're Still Here!

Why Are We Making Matters Worse with Such Foolish Predications? Why!

By Pastor Dennis Hartman

Date posted. Oct., 13, 2019

Over the years IMARC has more or less chronicled The Fundamentalist and Evangelical scam concerning their big Bible Prophecy business among other issues. There has been an inestimable amount of books, sermons, conferences and movies designed to answer all questions on exactly what is to happen next in Bible Prophecy.

Because of this, there have been three articles published at IMARC by this author. They are "I Predict...",   "The World Will End Soon", and how could we forget the  "The Four Blood Moons."   All of these tried to point out the absurd, harebrained, lunatic and nonsensical folly of my brothers. How many times must their mere, or almost, or full fledge predictions flop before We the people who have been blood washed by the Lamb of God, shout ENOUGH! But alas, the people of God have itching ears in that they keep heaping such teachings and teachers upon themselves. These pastors and professors and reference Bible writers have far to long owned the day. Can they not see the harm in what they are doing?

So before we move on we need to sadly once again confirm personal support for the second coming less we be accused of unbelief or worse. Sad. This writer believes that Jesus Christ himself will descend with a shout. He will descend bodily just as he was taken up. Acts 1:9-11 "9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." This is called, as far as I know, the second coming. This writer also believes this will be the final judgement of the world which is called the great "White Throne" judgement. To be sure, this is far to simplistic for the multitude of followers of Pre-Millennial Dispensationalism which interprets that theology as "just what the Bible says." Historical orthodoxy knows nothing of this popular dogma. However, remember, the Bible says that "judas went out and hanged himself" and "go and do thou like wise." Both statements are true, but when put together it carries a dangerous conclusion. Thus it is with the modern Fundamentalist and Evangelical movements of our time with regards to this theme. So how are we to understand the end times? What a smashing question. Let's let Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, ye God himself answer it.

Acts 1:7 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Matt. 24:36-39 he said "36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Mark 13:32-37 he said "32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." And there you have it from God himself. This is not the dispensationalism garnished in "I am just teaching what the Bible says."

In the past this writer listed that thirteen times since 1979, more or less, predictions of Christ's return in his article   "I PREDICT THAT THE LORD WILL RETURN IN 2010.WHO KNOWS!?" {} So why do Christians wonder why the Church is being criticized and even mocked? They wonder why young people have so little confidence in the Church? We struggle with how we can bring people to Christ. Perhaps we are blind to the idea that maybe, just maybe, we are some of the cause for such coldness and mockery to Christians faith today.

Peter 3:4 says " Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." Hm, many good preachers seem to use this passage as an indication how cold people have become in these "last days." They proclaim how effective the lie of evolution has been in this sort of excuse making. How many times do you think people realize that these predictions failed to materialize? Thirteen were listed in that amazing article above mentioned and astonishingly there were no apologies for such atrocious errors as far as I know! You know, pointing to dates more or less, selling books with all their ill faded predictions, and movies that sensationalizes His second coming, celestial signs, earthquakes, Israel something or the other, not withstanding the gross secularization of society, and still He has not come! If you yell wolf to many times and no wolf has come, can you honestly blame the unbelief of the people of our day? I can't. The leadership of our contemporary Fundamentalist and Evangelical Churches ought to be ashamed, but they are not as they take the money they make from this subject to the bank. May God Have mercy.

The Word of the Lord is clear. STOP THIS MADNESS! STOP! Let the Lord God Almighty take care of the end time events. Run from this silly theology of Dispensationalism or any person, pastor, professor or scholar who predicts that Christ will return at this time or that. And that goes for references Bibles written by these great radio and TV preachers which push this and other false narratives like Roman 6:4-6 teaches in no uncertain term we must be immersed and much more. STOP! STOP! Let God do his job of determining when the end shall be. But let us determine to win souls and live Godly to bring honor to his Holy name.

So what is required of us as Christians in our time. This writer believes that Micah is in total agreement that Christians ought to seek to be Christ like. He gives us this advice. He says in 6:8 "He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" Did not our Lord illustrate this in his earthly life before he was taken up from among us? Yes! And did he not send the Holy Spirit to empower us so we can do just this? Yes! And if we do just this, we will be ready to meet Him the air whenever the Lord himself should decide to come back and not because of any particular event here on earth or in the heavens above.

Dear Lord, please deliver us from these teachers and writers with such fatal consequences to both the believer and unbeliever. Amen.
