WELCOME
TO IMARC
IMARC
IMARC is an Inter-Denominational Methodist page.
It is here to provide a real world view of Biblical Christianity form a Methodist perspective. Our resources have grown since we first enter the world wide web in 1995. It has been a blessing to many since its founding. We would like to invite you to enjoy the materials that we have available for you. You can trust your soul with the information provided on this page. We are Methodist/Wesleyan Arminian, and we make no bones about it. We are here to serve the Bible Believing family of Wesley and particularly Christ our Lord.
Since prophecy seems to be so important, IMARC believes that our Lord will return bodily/physically when he decides so to do. We do not profess any particular view on prophecy except for the above. Yet there are writers who have written on IMARC who do express their views.

GEORGE SODINI (Health Club Mass murderer)THE POSTER-CHILD FOR ETERNAL SECURITY
On August 4th, 2009, 48 year old George Sodini shot 9 people in a Pittsburg Pennsylvania health club. At the time of the writing of this article (August 6th), four people had died to include George by his own self-inflicted gunshot wound.
George Sodini, mass murderer and professed Christian Eternal Securist wrote; "Maybe soon, I will see God and Jesus. At least that is what I was told. Eternal life does NOT depend on works. If it did, we will all be in hell. Christ paid for EVERY sin, so how can I or you be judged BY GOD for a sin when the penalty was ALREADY paid. People judge but that does not matter. I was reading the Bible and The Integrity of God beginning yesterday, because soon I will see them."

John Piper on the Relationship between God's Sovereignty and Tragedy by William Birch.
Grossman, rightly noting that Piper's answer begged the question, asked: "How can that person count on that, since they saw that it didn't [help the ones whom God didn't rescue]?" Piper responded: "Because, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. In other words, if I get shot tomorrow, if I walk out of here, and somebody didn't like what I said and would shoot me dead, God was totally in charge of that, and that will be the best thing that could happen to me."
This worldview is rife with problems, in my opinion. Calvinists, try as they may, cannot escape the inevitable conclusion that their theology is fatalistic. Let us examine Piper's claims one by one, comparing his Calvinistic explanations regarding God's interaction with his creatures, his providence, and sovereignty, with that of Classical, historic Arminianism.
We preachers are charged by the world with being mortally afraid of presenting God's truth as it should be presented. We might as well be honest and own up to it, that we have failed to preach the everlasting Gospel that is able to save a bleeding, dying world. Are we stating the truth of the Son of God anywhere near as it deserves to be stated? "You preachers," said a theater manager to a pastor friend of mine in Salem, Oregon a few years ago, "preach the truth as if it were fiction, and we present fiction as truth. That's why your churches are almost empty and our show houses are filled to capacity." Arminian Magazine - Rev. A.J.Smith
Three New Ecumenical Denominations Claiming None Denominational Positions????
In the last fifty years the Church has changed tremendously. However, many religious leaders have not noticed the change or at least said little about it. This change has moved mainstream Christian thought and doctrine away from the old line denominations to the independent or congregational type Churches. As a matter of fact many smaller denominations are greatly affect by this change too. To think about it farther, all denominations are affected by it as well as the average pew warmer. It is the ecumenical movement of the conservative church. Imarc editoral

"To candid, reasonable men, I am not afraid to lay open what have been the inmost thoughts of my heart. I have thought, I am a creature of a day, passing through life, as an arrow through the air. I am a spirit come from God, and returning to God: just hovering over the great gulf; till a few moments hence, I am no more seen! I drop into an unchangeable
eternity! I want to know one thing, the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way; for this very end he came from heaven. He has written it down in a book! Oh, give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be homo unius libri: "A man of one book."
Here then I am far from the busy ways of men. I sit down alone: only God is here. In his presence I open, I read this book; for this end, to find the way to heaven. Is there a doubt concerning the meaning of what I read? Does anything appear dark or intricate? I lift up my heart to the Father of lights. Lord, is it not your word, "If any man lack wisdom, let him
ask of God"? You "give liberally and upbraid not." You have said, "If any be willing to do my will, he shall know." I am willing to do: let me know your will. I then search after, and consider parallel passages to scripture, "comparing spiritual things with spiritual." I meditate thereon, with all the attention and earnestness of which my mind is capable. If any doubt still remains, I consult those who are experienced in the things of God; and then, the writings whereby, being dead, they speak. And what I thus learn, that I teach."
Rev. John Wesley
Brother Gao Zhisheng, We Love You and are Praying for You.
This brings us to the main point. Recently a Chinese Christian man was stolen from his home in
the middle of the night. His name is Gao Zhisheng. His crimes are being a Christian, and
fighting for the rights of others. One time before, he was incarcerated for 50 days. He was
tortured beyond description.
I have always found it strange how most modern leaders in Communist, and Socialist
countries hate Christianity. Perhaps the reason is that as they want to set up their kingdoms, they
run smack into Christ's. Whatever the reason, persecution is the normal out come of
Communism, and Socialism. Christ told us that they would do the same to us as to him. But he
reminded us that it was done to us because of their hate for Him. IMARC editorials
Cut Me a Break, Please.
Recently friend returned form a third world country. In his email note to our accountability group he said the following. "By 2025, one in four Christians will live in Africa. By 2100 Nigeria will be the epicenter of Christianity." This predication is nothing more then a storm blowing garbage and about as useless. I heard still another say that there are third world countries sending missionaries to the United States. If Christians here can not turn the hearts of America to Christ, I am not sure how a missionary from the third world can do any better. Imarc editoral
